Separated Families / Family Court Proceedings
Seasons Psychology provides support to those going through the Family Court process, as this can be a highly stressful time for everyone involved. Although parents do as best they can to protect their children from experiencing turmoil during separation, the Family Court experience will inadvertently influence the children in some way. This can result in problematic behaviours in the home or at school. Having therapy throughout this process can alleviate some of the stress involved and provide opportunity to learn new strategies to support the family, making the process easier to manage, and less impactful on children.
Forensic Treatment
We provide treatment and support to those going through the legal system, whether that be for Criminal Court matters, Immigration, Department of Child Safety, or Civil matters. At times, legal representatives will recommend you engage in a set of treatment sessions to support your case. Treatment progress reports are provided and can be used in submission to support your case.
Individual Therapy
Individual sessions aim to hold a safe space for client's to gain insight and awareness about themselves and any mental health concerns they are experiencing. With this support client's can integrate these new insights, which in effect, helps re-condition old beliefs/attitudes/perceptions that no longer serve their highest and best good. Therapy can be helpful for individuals to learn new ways of coping with mental health symptoms and life stressors, which enhance life satisfaction.
Relationships
Supporting client's to better understand themselves, their partner and where they may be experiencing misalignment in their relationship. By increasing insight and awareness about attachment styles, past experiences, misperceptions, and how different patterns of connecting to others can sometimes block love and growth, client's are better able to heal and love unconditionally.
Parents / Children
Increasing a parent's capacity to connect with their child/children. Increasing insight and awareness around the variations in children's needs, developing ways to better communicate with children, and bringing awareness to how the parent's own childhood experiences may be activated in their connection with their child. With better understanding, parent's can heal and tend to their own inner childhood wounds, and therefore break away from old patterns and conditioning that may be hindering their relationship with their child.
